General FAQs
What does SGA actually do?
SGA helps SMEs regain clarity, stability and momentum through structured diagnostics, stabilisation support, governance improvements, operational clarity, financial insight, and advisory guidance.
Who do you work with?
Small and medium sized businesses across all sectors — typically owner led, director led, or founder led organisations experiencing pressure, overwhelm, or growth challenges
Do you work remotely or on‑site?
Both. Most early work is remote; stabilisation and operational work may involve on‑site support when needed.
Why engage SGA
Heidi Teague has worked in Global Fortune 500 companies and micro businesses — and the truth is, they’re all ecosystems. The scale changes, but the behaviours, patterns and pressure points are the same. She brings senior‑level clarity, stabilisation instinct, operational structure and a deeply human approach that helps leaders regain control and move forward with confidence.
Health Check FAQs
What is the Free Quarterly Business Health Check?
A quick, confidence‑based diagnostic that gives you a snapshot of how stable your business feels across eight core pillars.
How long does it take?
Around 15–20 minutes. No preparation needed.
Who should complete it?
Someone with visibility of operations, finances, and decision‑making. Multiple directors can complete it individually to compare perspectives.
Can I redo the Health Check?
Yes — anytime. Useful for quarterly comparison or multi‑director alignment.
If you complete the Health Check more than once, you’ll receive a fresh snapshot each time. You can compare your results quarter‑to‑quarter, or across directors, to track changes in confidence and clarity. Comparative analysis is available as part of an SGA Business Review or Subscription.
What if multiple people complete it?
You’ll receive separate snapshots. Differences often reveal misalignment or clarity gaps
What happens after I submit?
Your responses are reviewed and your snapshot is emailed within 24 hours
Business Review & Pillar Review FAQs
What are Business Review Diagnostics?
A consultant‑led diagnostic assessment across all eight pillars, using verified data, structured questioning, and evidence‑based analysis.
What is a Pillar Review?
A focused review of one specific area (e.g., Cashflow, Technology, Strategy) where pressure is highest.
How do these differ from the free Health Check snapshot?
The free snapshot is perception‑based. Reviews are evidence‑based and include practical recommendations.
What do I receive from a Business Review?
A structured report covering:
- verified insights
- risks
- gaps
- opportunities
- recommended actions
- stabilisation priorities
- advisory guidance
How long does a review take?
Typically 1–3 weeks depending on complexity.
Do reviews include hands‑on support?
No — reviews provide clarity. Hands‑on support is available through Stabilisation, Strengthen or Leadership & Momentum once the review identifies what needs to change.
Service FAQs (Stabilisation, Governance, Operations, Finance, Advisory, Fractional Leadership)
What does Stabilisation involve?
Rapid assessment, crisis triage, priority sorting, and immediate interventions to reduce overwhelm and restore control.
What does Governance involve?
Strengthening oversight, compliance, decision‑making structures, and organisational clarity.
What does Operations involve?
Improving processes, workflow, efficiency, supply chain stability, and operational confidence.
What does Finance involve?
Clarifying pricing, costs, margins, cashflow visibility, and financial decision‑making.
What does Advisory involve?
Ongoing strategic guidance, decision support, planning, and clarity for founders and directors.
What is Fractional Leadership?
Part‑time senior leadership support without hiring full‑time roles.
What does a typical engagement cost?
Most SMEs fall within a £X – £Y range depending on:
- complexity
- number of moving parts
- speed of work
- stabilisation required
- number of areas needing clarity
Why is there a range instead of fixed pricing?
Because SMEs vary widely in complexity, urgency, and operational pressure. Fixed pricing would be inaccurate and unfair.
What’s included in an engagement?
Every engagement follows the SGA Behavioural Journey Framework. You receive a structured assessment, verified clarity, and practical recommendations. If needed, stabilisation, strengthening or leadership momentum support can follow — including hands‑on help, capability building and operational guidance delivered at the appropriate stage.
How long do engagements last?
Typically 2 – 16 weeks depending on scope.
